Sat. Feb. 21. 1953./ 3. eggs today./ Seems as if I can’t keep going   I’ve felt so bad.  but at 2-p-m I decided to bake some bread   I’d be pestered to have to make some bread of some sort    at 9-30-p-m it’s done  2. tins & 1. loaf of bread & I feel as if I’m done also.   I darned 2 prs. of socks also.   I had to mend his heavy union suits (2) yesterday,   I sweat so bad, do-ing the smallest things.  & there’s no one but Jesus Who cares & I’ll be so glad when I can be with Him,   I hope to be with Him & pray for the many others Who still don’t Know Him.   God of Love,   have mercy on our Souls,  I thank THee Jesus & Give Thee all Praise Honour & Glory for ever & ever, Amen.   Wind’s still strong, puffy & snow showers to-day.   Radio tells of snow drifts 7 & 8 ft. high, some people frozen & lots of damage & there are lots more damage in the states of Louisianna & New Orleans where tornadoes passed.  Oh God, help people to listen & come to Thee beofe it’s to late.

Sun. Feb. 22. 1953./ page. 3050./ 2. eggs this day./ I know I’m a long way from being any where near perfect & when I’m told of my fauls, I do try to do better,   but it seems some times as if the others haven’t anything else to do,   only pick out our faults no matter how small,   if it’s a misspelt word or some other such frivelous thing.  I am truly greatful God is the Judge, at the Judgement day.   Oh God, I love them all & can’t see Why they say & do the things they do & laugh at me as if I were a fool,   but, & perhaps it’s another test to see if I can keep my tempt & tongue.   Nellie is so infuriated she don’t write & neither do the girls   I haven’t been able to go anywhere for a long time,   they act & talk as if I were going to kick off pretty soon & when they have come, they say   I’d like this or that & Nellie says “I suppose if there’s anything of any value left Martha will get it.”   greedy for anything I’ve got that might spell Money.   I liked the bedspread Frank’s Mother gave me, but I paid a debt with it & Ella Jane said well, they got it cheap enough,   but, if I gave it to her that would be O.K.  such things to feel angry over,   I’m not indebted to any one of them except Audrey   I’d like to give back what she’s given to us but so far I don’t know how I can,   I’d like to pay Speary & Bailey what Frank & I owed them,   but, I can’t see my way clear, & it’s better to owe strangers, than, relatives.   May God help me yet.   And I’ll give Him all the Praise in Jesus Blessed Holy Name.
