Sun. Mar. 1. 1953./ 4. eggs today./ Well my face is better   I’m much in need of strength Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.   Wind blow hard in heavy puffs untill all most day light,   so hope we’ll have a fairly good garden,   Elbert hopes to plant potatoes in the later part of this coming week  What seed we have.   & we have to buy eyes “or potatoes” for eating & eyes.   Been a fine day,   winds rather raw.  Radio says colder & snow or sleet tonight & tomorrow.   We been home all day   I would have been so happy if I could have gone to Church but I’ll make it before long,   I thank Thee Jesus for my healing and for all my healing & Give THee all the Praise forever & ever Amen.

Mon. Mar. 2. 1953./ Page. 3054./ 6. eggs today./ We been home all day,   Well, Elbert went to Brodes for milk.  he split a little wood, but his arm is still bad & pains him,   I have only done what had to be done today, but hope to iron tomorrow   I have two dresses & two work shirts.   I’m a little stronger in my legs this week & trust I’ll soon be O.K. & at it for the Lord.   I thank Him for the strength & healing & all my healings & trust I will be able to go & testify & do something for Him to help others in Jesus Name   Glory to His Name I Praise Father, Son & Holy Ghost Amen.    I pray Thou will bless those Who pray earnestly for me & us.   N. east wind went S. east & only a little sun  today   cold raw wind   March came in with strong puffy roars & some rain. 

Tue. Mar. 3. 1953./ 3. eggs today./ Well another day I haven’t earned my salt,   trusting tomorrow will be a better day.   I saw a wild duck going S.west today & the wind blew all day & it was dark part of this day  sun came out a few times, & tonight the wind is so strong & puffy.  & been S. east little more S. tonight with rain & showers & it thundered & lightened at 9-30 untill 11-p-m,   I couldn’t get the service & songs.   We received a letter from Audrey.    She’s worried & tired   Martha is sick & she says her hair is turning gray.   “Marthas”  it’s a queer world.   Elbert’s been planting potatoes.   got the boostem just in time.   to put it to work.   he put the potatoe cutting in it & sprayed the trench but didn’t get last trench all covered,   it rained to hard.   We got a Sears catalog or “sale shopper” today, but can’t go to sandusky   it’s to far Elbert has to go to Lorain, soon, for olive oil & so we will have to get the license for car & insurance & the car is badly in need of repear,   so we’ll have to go with out a while longer.   I thank THee Jesus for all things & Praise Thee Amen.    I crocheted some today,   I always ment to give Easel a piece & she has always felt hurt because she hasn’t got any.

Wed. mar. 4. 1953./ 2 eggs today./ Wind blew a living gale last night S. West & has blowed today,   but not so hard.  Snowed & rained in torents last night & rained & snowed today.   & sun shone several times & Elbert got a chance to cover rest of his row of potatoes so he has one row in & I guess they will be soaked in,   I don’t know how soon he can get the rest in but he wants to if he can.    I only did my daily doz. & crocheted a little   if I can   I hope to was a little & I have to do the ironing yet.   I thank God in Jesus name & Praise Him for all our blessing & wish I were with Him Amen.   I have wrote cards to Jean Martha Nellie Annabell & Audrey, Rev. Deer’s.  Rev. Eppler.  Mrs. Geo. Goll & Miss Clark.

Thurs. Mar. 5. 1953./ Page. 3055./ 5. eggs today./ I did my washing & part of Elbert’s & thank God for my healing & for the strength He gave me,   I even helped get most of the supper to-night.   Elbert got his check & went to town & did some of the shopping,   he got his license $10.25 plate for the car & paid a bill at Martin’s   mailed 9. post cards   had to buy 2  1 cent stamps & put on 2. of them. & he took Harry Miller a doz. fresh eggs & talked to him a little & Miss. Clark was there;   He ask about the insurance for the car, 48.00 or 50.00 a year.  Oh but that is terrible but, it’s better than carrying food & all from highway home, if we were to go on the buss.   I got all the wash dry except the rags,   I swept the floors & hope to wipe up the dust with wet mop tomorrow.   I crocheted some tonight.   The country’s received word today  Stallin is dead, the Ruler of Russia,  they had, had word,  he had a stroke & a brain heme   & his heart was very bad & the blood didn’t go through him from head to toe as it should & he has passed away not believing in God.   They report he was a very wicked man,   the reporters held a discussion over the radio spectulating on the past, present & future, prospects.    Been another windy day with sunshine & cold N. West Wind.   Elbert sawed up balance of the wood he had cut.   We bought 100 lbs. $4.38 cents & I don’t know yet, what the food cost,   I’m supposed to pay half even though I don’t eat half.  he got some ice cream & candy today.   I got the Chefsaw today   a queer looking thing   saw can be replaced with new ones.  I thank  & Praise God in my Saviours Name for my healiings & blessings,  He’s a wonderful Jesus to me.  Glory to His Name, forever & ever, Amen.   God of Love & Mercy help Jacky to see.  poor little Jacky, we have loved him so much & now he has abad cold & can’t see   Jesus helped me   he can help the bird,  so I’ll believe you will Jesus & I’ll thank Thee; Glory to God. 

Fri. Mar. 6. 1953./ 2. eggs today./  No mail today   Elbert tried to spade   it was to cold   it snowed last night, or after midnight a light blanket of snow & melted most all before night then it began to get real cold & snowed fine dry snow   I baked bread  2. tins & small loaf.   Elbert said he spent 20.00 for food, he run in debt he says 7.00 for food last week,   I’ll have to watch now or he’ll have us in the hole again,  he’s not feeling very good, achs stitches & pains,   I had hoped to go to Church Sun. but I let Nellie take the ribbon home that belonged on my felt hat   she said she’d send it back,   but, it’s been several weeks & no ribbon yet & they don’t try to help me in that respect at all  Such is life   I thank Thee Jesus & pray you will help me so I can

Fri. Mar. 6. 1953/ page. 3056./ 2. egg this day./ get a hat   I can’t see why a person don’t do what they promise to do.  God help us, I pray.   I thank Thee for ever  ever Amen.   I hope I can have the ribbon, O.K.  Been windy & partly Cloudy  N. West cold raw wind.

Sat. Mar. 7. 1953./ 5. eggs today./ Well I got the floor wiped & ironing done & feel as if I might stand on my head all day.   Elbert went to Lorain  got olive oil his garters, my shoe heels “new rubber ones” put on my shoes & he visited with Audrey & Martha, but I don’t know what about,   he got some checked paper I wanted & he got my film & pictures I took of him in the hollow & 2 of him by or near the well punk & some were spoilt,  he got another film.   I want to go to church but not fit to go.   I thank God in Jesus Name for my healing & trust I can go back to Church soon,   I feel so happy in my soul & pray Jesus will help me to Praise God in spirit, Amen.   We got Audrey’s card & a letter from Eileen today.  God help her.  She rather head strong & self willed & need a guiding hand.   Elbert took Audrey & Gertie 1. doz. eggs, he gave Harry Miller a doz.

Sun. Mar. 8. 1953./ 5 eggs today/ Snowed last night    was colder & snowed today & sun shone  not very cold but cold    My water runs & it’s hard to keep dry   didn’t as much today   & I’m so terribly tired   arms are so tired.   We were home all day   I didn’t get up very early & neither did Elbert.   Jacky is still very sick   he can’t see either   I must clean his cage on the morrow.   I do Praise God in Jesus Name for His wonderful care, & healing,  hope to be able to get out before long. 

Mon. Mar. 9. 1953./ 4 eggs today./ Well I haven’t done much today,  my legs are to weak but soon God will in Jesus Name fill them with more strength,   I feel sure.   I received 2 little knives,    I hope they will have good edges & stay sharp,   I thought I was to get a butcher Knife,  Oh well;   they cost 25 cents in stamps.   I received a letter from Jean & one from Millered Rice D.V.A.   They are asking for money for the boys.   God help us.   The Red Cross, heart, Cansor, T.B. & many many more & out of what I have I couldn’t begin to give each one a dollar & pay my tenth at Church but I’d like to help all who are in need,  both spiritually & phyically.   I do thank THee Jesus for loving me & healing & lifting me   I love Thee & Praise Thee for ever & ever Amen.   Elbert sawed a little wood & I don’t know if he staded or not,  he just said he did a space about 6. ft. by 8 ft.,  he went up for milk also.  & his back is paining him tonight.   God turn him to Thee I pray. 

Tue. Mar. 10. 1953./ page. 3057./ 4 eggs today./ No do much work today, but I think I do feel better in some ways   We had a letter from Audrey.   Well I got to get out of hear pretty soon,   I’m so tired of being shut in   Elbert’s having another bad spell with gas around his heart,   I got him to eat part of an orange & drink a cup of hot water & the gas started up & then he wouldn’t take the rest of the orange,  What can I do?  I pray for him but he don’t except the Lord, evern though he has healed him “I know” once, & I believe more,  well, I hope & pray He will turn him about face but help me to Jesus to do the right things also.   I thank THee Jesus & give Thee all the Praise & Glory.   Been a cloudy day, Mon. was a sunshiny day, but Radio say rain for today or tonight & rain tomorrow & Thurs. & they said Vermilion had rain a good heavy shower. 

Wed. Mar. 11. 1953./ 6. eggs today./  Well, it has been a nice day. S. little west wind not very cold & partly cloudy & it tried to rain tonight & it’s much warmer tonight.   I did part of my washing & washed Elbert’s blankets & dried them & air his bedding & made his bed fresh & I’m very tired.   Elbert had another sick spell last night, but he got over it & spaded quite a strip of garden today,   he was down in the hollow, but wind was to cold & so he carried the water for me to suds & wrinse & the clothes are dried & put away.   I received card from Mrs. Goll & some papers & card from Mrs. Gunsenhouser.   they are having a sale: & letter from Audrey.   I thank God in Jesus Name for His Love & care of me & hope to get out to prayer meeting soon & Church  Glory to God.   Birds are begining to sing as if it were Spring. 

Thurs. Mar. 12. 1953./ 3. eggs today./ Well I tried to clean my hat & fix it to wear but that hat is done for it is terrible,   I’ll have to get me another one.   I pray Thou will help me,  I thank THee & I thank Thee for the extra 3.00 in my check, today;  Oh, Jesus fill me & help me to praise Thee in Spirit  I thank Thee   may all Glory be Thine Amen.   It’s been a fine day   I hung out my bedding & aired it this after noon & brought it in to made my bed, again & I had hoped to go to Church tonight,   Elbert is terribly tired tonight, for he went to Huron & got two bath towels for a dollar & looked around some & then went to Vermilion & got a few things for supper & for tomorrow & he spaded a lot this morning & he planted a row of potatoes   he has 2 rows planted & he’s to tired to do it & now there’s so much to get done.

Fri. Mar. 13. 1953./ page. 3058./ 5. eggs today./ Elbert has 4 rows of potatoes planted & he’s dog tired & gone to bed.   We got a card from Audrey today,  she’s feeling tired & got a feeling of Spring in her unrest,   I pray she’ll get a craving to know more about Jesus before it’s tolate.   I haven’t done much today   Went out back to little house & took care of my own can.   It’s been a beautiful day,  nice sun with S.west breeze.   Elbert spaded quite a lot today,  he wants to put in one more row of potatoes tomorrow,  he’s so terribly tired   seems as if it would be better if he waited until Mon.   Well I hope to go to church Sun.  God help us to be able to go. I thank Thee Jesus for all things,   help me to be worthy I pray,  Oh, God.   Jacky is so sick & I pray God will heal him & make him all every whit whole & he’ll be happy to see & eat again.  I know & I thank only Thee & Give all Glory & Honour to Thee, forever, Amen.

Sat. Mar. 14. 1953./ 5 eggs today./ We were here all day & Elbert planted 2 more rows of potatoes,  he now has 5 rows planted now.   Nellie came today   she hadn’t had her dinner & she just wouldn’t let me fix her a lunch   she did take a cup of tea,  she brought some grape & she ate some of the,   she seemed real broke up over something some how,  they, two daughers & mother can’t seem to agree.   I’m so sorry, & one of Bonney Bell’s children has mumps   I pray God will Keep Bonney Bell free;  & Johny & Marcie’s first boy has bad spells “E____ fits poor child,”  Fred my brother use to have them & I’ll always believe it was God who healed him.   We visited a while,  she walked from the end of the road,  she can’t stand it to walk, & one leg is worse for a few days,   I was so glad to see her & so was Elbert,   he came in a few minutes after she came. & he took er up to get the buss a few minutes passed 4-p-m.   We gave her 2 doz. eggs  & I put the box of candy & nuts I had fixed for the children into the bag & I gave her some of the garden of Eden powder for her plants.   She looked so sad,   I wish I could help her,  I love them all,  she brought the ribbon   seems there is only half of it but maybe I wont use it,   if I don’t gain a little more strength soon.   Well, she says Bonita is earning $175.00 & sometimes $185.oo a month,   Ella Jane takes care of home & children & she “Nellie” teaches afternoons   Oh God I pray you will help them each one as Thou seeth they need.   I pray Thy Will be done not mine in all things & I give Thee all Praise & Glory forever & ever Amen; Glory to God I Praise Thee Jesus.

Sun. Mar. 15. 1953./ Page. 3059./ 5. eggs today/ We were home all day,  been a fine day nice sun, partly cloudy puffy wind & it tried to rain before dark,  it did rain several showers & thundered & lightened but didn’t last long & to-night wind has freshened up a lot.   Jacky is still sick.   Elbert heard a pheasent & yesterday & saw 4 ducks today.   Elbert said it was snowing fine snow at 10-p-m.   Well I’ll have a big washing tomorrow,  & Elbert has 2 union suit his sleeper Jacket & pants & pillow slip & cover & socks & towel   I washed his blankets last week & it tuckers me all out.   & now I have to wash mine   they are wool & heavy   We listened to 4 or more sermons today & wished I were in Church, not even the church folks or ministers come to call anymore unless you write & ask them to come   God help us.   I thank & Praise Thee for those Who pray for us & I Give all Praise, Honor & Glory to Thee forever & ever Amen. 

Mon. Mar. 16. 1953./ 3. eggs today./ fishermen couldn’t set nets today/ Elbert hasn’t felt well today & hasn’t worked   the wind was cold & raw & his throat & arm so he did just the chores,   I pray he will feel lots better tomorrow.   I baked 2. tins. & 1. loaf of bread & took care of beds & rooms & helped with meals & did up all the dishes & now listening to Rev. Buser hr. of comfort.   We received a card from mrs. Bracket,  she isn’t very well & she says 6 of her cousins are in Florida untill April & so it’s been sort of lonesome this winter   her neighbors to are elderly & been sick,   she tries to go to them once in a while.    Well it’s nice she does,   she lives alone & is old alot    I thank Thee Jesus for all things great & small Amen.  

Tue. Mar. 17. 1953./ 5. eggs today./ St. Patrick’s day./ Elbert went for the milk & planted peas & beans  2 rows each.  he went to Vermilion  got a little meat, pork shoulder & few things to eat.  he planted & spaded & he went to Harry Millers & took him a tin of bread biscuits & tonight Rev. Buser said they were singing one song just for Harry Miller, for his birthday,  he’s in his 60-ties & been on his back in bed since he was 25 or 27 yrs. old poor fellow;  I pray God will have mercy, in Jesus Holy Name & release him,   I thank Thee Jesus Blessed, Pure & Holy, Amen.   It’s been a fine day & I did my washing & part of Elbert’s  all his small pieces & I’ve rubbed his back & hips & he’s in bed so ore & lame he can’t hardly get up or down or turn in bed & now his stomach is sour & he’s up,  he has a bad time with his stomach souring.   I got fire fixed & pork shoulder cook  dishes done & now I’ll read & go to bed,   I’m so weary all over.   It’s been a fine day.   N. East wiind.   I thank Thee Jesus for all things & Give Thee all the Praise Glory & Honour forever & ever, Amen.

Mar. 18. 1953./ Page. 3060./ 6. eggs today./ Elbert tried to cultivated a little while & carried the straw & sand out on the front garden,  he had it in a pile out by systern   he seems to feel a little better in some ways but his stomach is after him a gain.   I received a lovely card from Rev. Mr. & Mrs. Deer & the verse was such a good thought   There was a vase of roses, red, yellow & pink and it says With Sincere Wishes for your recovery & in side is a vase of anemonies, yellow very pale is the color of vase   flowers are the size of a quarter, they are red blue & lilac, and in the center it reads  May your illness soon be gone With out a single trace And may the very best of health Forever take it’s place.   On the third side is another vase simerler to the other, with a with 5 piink roses & two buds & over on the back it says   When you’re up and out once more, May all good things combine To bring you lots of happiness & Keep you feeling fine.   Then she wrote a note,  Dear Sister Babcock & Brother Bonney: Greeting in Jesus most Presious Name.   So glad to get your card & that we trust & God blesses. & that they would be out soon to pray with us again.   Oh God, I thank Thee Jesus & give Thee all the praise for ever & ever,  Amen.   Been a nice day, warm, & the sun only come out once or twice & tonight at 10-p-m the wind has changed from S. east to West or S. west, & coming in heavy puffs.   Radio says thunder showers tonight,   Jacky isnt any better poor thing.   I thank Thee Jesus for all things & for the christian love We need so much.

Thurs. Mar. 19. 1953./ 7. eggs today./ Well I felt bad today & didn’t do much today.   Rev. Mr. & Mrs. Deer came in & little Name   Naomie & we had a nice visit & light lunch & later, supper to gather & prayer   They are real Christians, I don’t belong as a member to their church, but they come & pray for us& God Knows I am more than greatful,  they really work for God & are so tired, but still they came & they brought some things for a lunch   We had Dinty’s soup & warmed up potatoes & they had hot coffee & insisted on drinking it, well we had such a good visit & prayers & I feel better in spirit now   body is terrible weak but Praise God He is wonderful; Wonder Wonderful Jesus.   Elbert went to Vermilion mailed a letter to Nellie & got a few things to eat & a hen to cook & ice cream,  so we all had ice cream with our lunch   I had thought I’d try to go to prayer meeting, but have felt I weighed a ton & so after they came I was to tired out to try to go but I believe.  God will help me soon.  been a nice day  quite a strong wind  West little south, partly cloudy.   We had good letter from Audrey   I thank God in Jesus Name for our blessings. Amen

Mar. 20. 1953./ Page. 3061./ 3. eggs today/ Well, I only did my daily round   Elbert went to Huron & got several fish   he had bought a chicken, so, we had biscuits & chicken for dinner & broccoli & fish for supper   we ate 1 1/2 each & they tasted so fresh & were so sweet & good, with potatoes for irish supper.   Wish the girls had some.   Well it’s been a sunshine day & a little warmer, but breeze is N. East. looks like rain tonight   air is damp.  No mail today.   I thank Thee Jesus for my healing & pray Thou will search my heart & make me whole every whit   the rash has gone from my face, but inside my body somethings wrong & they prayed & I thanked, for the heall Jesus & so I’m still trusting & believing & Praising Thee.  

Sat. Mar. 21. 1953./ 5. eggs today/  First day of Spring.  frogs were croaking Fri. & today & Robbin’s calling for rain today   Elbert went to Vermilion  got amoney order for taxes $12.52 & cost 25 cents for order.  he mailed it & a letter to D.V.A. for $5.00 & bought bag of mash $5.09 & paid light bill $1.50   I gave him $20.00   he brought back $5.98   I gave him the change,   he brought cream & as we aate he said he had to go back & get his washing 2 heavy union suits & pr heavy pants & he went   he went for the milk also.   Clayton’s boys came & disk the ground & charged $3.00  such a world.   it only took 1/2 hr.  use to do it for $1.50   I hope we get that much out of it.   I swept 3 rooms & baked 2. tins & 1. loaf of bread   cooked 2. meals & did all the dishes.  received card from Jean & letter from Audrey.  Well I Praise & thank God in Jesus Name & hope to go to Church at least once tomorrow.   I thank Him for all His Love & care & trust He’ll get me back in Church soon, Amen.   I love Thee Jesus & pray all things work out for Thy good & Glory forever.   I Praise Thee & love Thee Jesus. Amen.

Sun. Mar. 22. 1953./ 7. eggs today./ I got ready to go to church & then Elbert couldn’t find a clean shirt & said he was to tired to clean his shoes & well, we didn’t go & I often think of ma, when she said she felt, when she was oblidged to unpack her suit cases, “after Frank & Ruby had left from the Isle of Pines to come home to the States” she said she felt as if she was taking them from her rough box;  Poor dear ma   Pa was her boss & she was his slave, not because she wanted to be either.   He use to say “What’s mine is mine & What’s ma’s is mine.  Oh God, how can we understand?  Been a nice day Partly S.east wind not cold   frogs are croaking tonight.   We listen to Rev. Buser’s sermon & it touched both our souls   I pray God will help us to come to Him in Jesus Name & be set free, Amen.

Mon. Mar. 22. [should be 23] 1953./ page. 3062./ 3. eggs this day./ The wind has freshened up tonight   lots of bugs flies & millers out fliting about today.   Elbert took Harry Miller 2 fish all fried,  he smiled & said they sure would taste good.   He took Miss. Clark 1. fish fried, & a piece of dough & 3 apples, Saterday.   I thank God for His love & mercies & Praise Thee Jesus & thank the Holy Gost for guiding me in Jesus Name.   I Pray my healing will be completed soon.   May all Glory & Honour be Thine forever & ever Amen.   I only did what I had todo today.

Tue. Mar. 24. 1953./ 6. eggs today./ I did my washing.  Elbert went to Huron & got big mess of fish,  he gave some to the man that help him about his car once & he gave Brodes a good mess (16)   they were so pleased with them, they gave us a pt. of frozen peas & another piece of beef to boil & we have fish enough for to-morrow.  so we can. Praise God for His many blessing   I thank Thee that some are more thoughtful than others & pray Thou will forgive them & me when We are thoughless & help us each one to do Thy Will in Jesus Name, Amen.   Been a nice Spring Day, sunshone & then it rained & looked bad over head, but cleared & sun was out again making the rain glisten on trees bushes & grass   a nice Spring shower.   Elbert’s in bed,  he changed to Spring under wear, from part wool to cotton, light weight,  hope he doesn’t catch a cold now.   if he puts his overalls on when he’s out for very long I think he’ll be O.K.   Elbert worked for the mess of fish today & we got a letter from Audrey saying Jean was coming home end of last week or Sun.  she didn’t know if they’d come when she wrote the letter.   Elbert dressed all the fish   its a hard job for him.   The cold fish & water cramp his hands.  I thank Thee Jesus for my healing & Thy word & Praise Thee from the depth of my soul Giving Thee all Glory, Amen. 

Wed. Mar. 25. 1953/ 6. eggs today/  I didn’t do much today   felt dead  both ways & forgot to work,  did just what had to be done.   Elbert washed his [??] few odds & ends   we received letter from Audrey.   I don’t remember if I mentioned it but Miss Clark wrote card thanking us for fish, dough & apples,   she said thanks a million   I had my apple dumplings & 3. rolls & fish   they were swell,   she out of money by this time.   Jeans home & feeling better

Wed. mar. 25. 1953 page. 3063./ 7 egg this day. / It’s been a nice day   snowed very fine flakes several times then sun came out between times but was nice & broght all afternoon   Elbert worked in his garden & did odds & ends & I only did what I had to.   We received letter from Audrey today   Jean’s home & feeling better.  ELbert said Douglas’s was coming back Mar. Sat. 28.   Well I thank & Praise God in Jesus Name for all our many blessing & Pray I may do more for Him & His. Amen. 

Thurs. Mar. 26. 1953./ 3. eggs today./ Well I didn’t do only my daily round.   Elbert did his usual Chors & Cleaned hens roost & to night we went to Huron to prayermeeting  & We had a wonderfully good meeting   Praise God & Mrs. B___  told me they were going to take a collection for me to get me a washing machine,   I told her no, they should use all they could give for Gods work,   I do think that was a very generous thought & I’ve never been thought of in that way,   I’ve always give untill it hurt & it would hurt to receive such a gift,  We can get along.   Audrey wanted to get us a machine but we told her not & she wanted to give us an ice box & Elbert told her no,  the blankets & his heavy cloths are bad but we’ll do them at the laundry what we can’t do.   It’s showered fine snow several times today & sun shone some & when we came from Church it just snowed a gale so thick we could hardly see the road,  God brought us safly home  car to, it stopped snowing after we got here, front steps were slippery but I got in safe & opened back door for Elbert.   I thank Thee Jesus for Thy great Love & Mercy & my healings & give Thee all the Glory   May God be Blessed forever & ever Amen.

Mar. 27. 1953/ 4. eggs today./ Well I did the ironing in great pain but Praise God He helped me & it’s done.   Been a cool raw wind   Elbert made some boxes to plant seeds in & hope we get seeds in tomorrow.   We received card from Nellie,   she went over to Johnys & Marcies Thurs & came home Sun. & Ella Jane taught Kindergarden.   It. rained a little & snowed a little, but, melted fast.   was better this afternoon, not so cold & some sunshine. 

Sat. Mar. 28. 1953./ 5 eggs today./ The wild cranes are here again.  Well I swept & wiped up floors & washed 3 of my shirts  bunch & Kercheifs & rags & 1. pr. stockings & towels & dish towels. & Elbert went to Ver-milion & I gave him $10.00 & he brought back 3.35 & we

Sat. Mar. 28. 1953./ page 3064./ 5 eggs this day./ decovered the girl didn’t take out the money for the sanka coffee.   I gave him $10.00 & he spent 6.65 & brought me back 3.35 so if the girl didn’t take out the 1.00 I can’t figure how he could have made it to come out O.K. but 6.65 & 3.35 is $10.00   Well, I hope to get to Church Sun. night to there healing meeting, for Rev. Clark of Cleveland, Who has the gift of healing & Rev Coon Who lives close to Jesus & Who prayed for me once & Jesus healed me   I had a very heavy cold on my lungs & in 3 days I forgot I’d had it & another time I had a swelling in my side & he prayed for me & it all left & it was paining me so bad I thought I wouldn’t be able to waite for the prayer,  God blessed me & I was feeling fine after Church, pain Was gone.  So I hope to get there some how tomorrow evening.   I’m a little stronger since Rev’s Deers have been praying for me, God bless them they are so much more like brothers & sisters than those down at Vermilion,   it’s rained in heavy & light misty rain today   Wind’s N. West & rather cold.   We received a card from Nellie today   I’ll have to write to Audrey & Jean next.   I Praise God in Jesus Mame. 

Sun. Mar. 29. 1953./ 3. eggs today./ Well it’s been cloudy all day & we hope to go to Vermilion to CHurch tonight.   I wiped up floor last night & did the dishes before going to bed last night   my side’s been bad   felt so punk I can’t begin to tell you, so I couldn’t sleep or rest untill daylight.   We listened to sermons, on radio Elyroy Morton, Billy Grayham. & several others & the open door at VanWert Ohio.   Been cloudy all day & quite cool.   I’m trusting Jesus to take care of us & care going, & coming tonight,   We went, didn’t many seem to have missed me, none of them came to shake hands   Women were very distant  Eddy West & his father & Mr. Whitman  2. other men I don’t know & Mr. Young, spoke to us & Mrs. Alrhight, Mrs. sprunk & Mrs Mc. Neil,  Well Mrs. Young shook hands but didn’t seem very friendly.   Mayabe it’s my fault.   I pray God will help me   God of Love & Mercy I pray Thou will bless there good work & bless there soul in Jesus Name, Amen

Mon. Mar. 30. 1953./ page. 3065./ 6. eggs today./ Well Elbert went to Huron at 9-a-m & he came back just before noon & no fish, they wasn’t going out to lift untill this after noon, so we had dinner & he worked at garden untill 2-p-m & then he went back to Huron & got a big mess of fish,   he gave Rue 16 pike & had a-bout 2. doz. small catfish just nice frying size,   he dressed them & scraped them & I salted them & packed them & he put them down in star way to Keep cool.   I baked bread & made 2. doz. bread doughnuts & washed & cleaned up chicken pans & bread dishes & cleaned broccoli & got it ready for supper   We had Chicken balls & gravy also for supper & now I have dishes all cleaned up again & ready for bed.  my feet have tortured me all day standing on them so long.   We’ll have fish & potatoes, irish dinner  we hope for tomorrow.   We are both so tired tonight.   But I thank God for taking care of us day & night.  He’s a Wonder God & Jesus, a wonderful Saviour & physician He Marvelous & I know all Glory belongest to Him for ever & ever. Amen. 

Tue. Mar. 31. 1953./ 4. eggs today./ Well, we had a heavy frost last night & thick fog today.   I swept & did my daily turn & still feel to tired to work   Elbert worked with wheelbarrow taking the sand& straw from where he piled it to the garden & in that cold fog,   I pray he doesn’t get a cold.   I’m going to read & then go to bed trusting & believing in Jesus Name & Praising Him for all things, giving Glory to Him forever & ever Amen.   We receieved letter from Audrey & Rev. DeHaans book.
